John Spainhour by Dense Modesto for The New You magazine’s issue #7.
“I thought anyone could win it,” John told The New You regarding how he felt during the competition. “I wasn’t too anxious or overdoing myself. I wanted to win but I don’t want to get super competitive as I tend to do better when I’m more laid back.”
John Spainhour, who I met during the Lucy Hale event hosted by Bench, was the male winner of Century Tuna Superbods 2012.
And he has every right to win… although he can be high-waisted at times…
John Spainhour and Monika Sta. Maria win Century Tuna Superbods 2012! They best 18 other candidates in the contest held last night, April 14th, in Boracay.
They got over P1-million in prizes and the pride of being called superbods.
First runners-up were June Macasaet and Azel Shane Smith, while second runners-up were JC Rezabek and Janelle Olafson.
Celebrities present at the event were Century Tuna product endorsers Derek Ramsay, Anne Curtis and Aljur Abrenica, as well as Georgina Wilson, and Solenn Heussaff, among others.
The contest is used by some as their stepping stone to showbizness. Some of the past winners who have invaded the entertainment scene include John Avila and JC Tiuseco.
Who’s your bet among the Century Tuna Superbods 2012? Among the male contestants, of course.
Of the 10, I love John Spainhour who’s a Fil-Am and used to be in the US Marines. Met him in person during an event at the SMX sometime last month.
