Kape Barako

There's a new gay indie film starring a veteran gay-indie-film actor Johnron Tañada. From the screenplay of Lex Bonife comes Kape Barako, the story of a struggling coffee shop and how the baristas made a way to save it.

Aside from Johnron Tañada, the movie also features Frederick Peralta, Afi Africa, Joyce Acorda, Miko Pasamonte, Marcus Aboga, and Allan Stevens.

I love the trailer's background music which was sung by Lex Bonife himself. And the Kape Barako logo is altered from the logo of a popular coffee shop. But would you really drink a cup of coffee with a drop of someone else's sperm on it? Watch the trailer below.

Kape Barako is gonna be shown at the UP Film Institute, Diliman, Q.C. on June 27, 2011 at 8 PM. Ticket price is P200. The movie's regular showing is tentatively by August 2011.
