I’ve always wanted to run.
When I started mountain climbing and eventually learned that most of those that I climb with were also engaged in running, I thought of making running as a regular activity, too.
It’s not really envy, or doing it just because everyone else is doing it, but running would be a great way of preparing myself for climbs.
My lungs has always been my problem. I always run out of breath mid-climb that I almost always have to be the one calling for a rest. Running would make my lungs stronger, and prepare them well for those upcoming climbs.
And, of course, running would train my legs and thighs as well. Plus it’s an added activity to socialize even more, don’t you think?
Anyway, I have read of those supplements serious runners take in order to enhance their performance. I’m thinking twice of taking them, though, because (1) it’s expensive and (2) I’m afraid it would hurt my liver.
Been searching the net for a diet plan for runners, and results point me to eating more carbohydrates. Well, I’ve been eating rice, but it only makes me bulk up, specifically my tummy.
I’m planning to start running soon so I searched the net for carb-rich foods. And for those who, like me, are afraid of taking supplements for fear that it may have a side effect(s) in the long run, here is a list of carb foods that we may pig on (via buzzle.com):
