A Gay Christmas, Everyone!

Merry Christmas, everyone!

It's 1:56 AM of December 25, 2011 and I have just finished wrapping gifts. Ran out of paper, actually. Three more to wrap.

Personally, I haven't really felt the spirit of the season until yesterday (Dec.24) afternoon when my two call center agent nieces arrived, one with a new dining room light, and started busying themselves at the kitchen for Noche Buena.

I wasn't even the one who bought the gifts I wrapped. I just gave money to my niece last Thursday when I learned she's going to Divisoria. Well, except for the three gifts I haven't wrapped. I bought them last Friday at Festival Mall in Alabang. My nephews, 14 and 11, dragged me to the mall for their gifts, which they wanted to pick themselves. The 14-year-old bought 2 pairs of jeans and the 11-year-old picked a book at National Bookstore titled Drawing Anatomy.

Middle school and he already knows what he wants. He was 7 when he decided to be a doctor. 8 when he decided he wanted to be a gastroenterologist. He had been reading medical books since then but was complaining for the lack of gastroenterology books in bookstores.

He kinda "shifted" to pulmo last summer due to the availability of reading materials but came back to gastro because he had been studying it "for so long."

Anyway, I'm making this post with a very chaotic background music – a group of men singing accompanied by electric guitar two houses away, videokes (perhaps 3 or 4) from I cannot tell where, and firecrackers making my 3 dogs jump every so often.

My mom's quietly sleeping in her room. She just waited for 12 midnight so we could greet each other a "Merry Christmas!"

My older niece has left early for her 9 PM shift. Reason why we had our Noche Buena at dinner time. They cooked stuff but they were for the visitors tomorrow. We just had Chowking delivered for our "Noche Buena."

That pretty sums up my Christmas Eve. Didn't receive much greetings on my phone, though. But a lot on my Facebook inbox (my wall is restricted to "only me" for sanity purposes).

I haven't psyched myself up for tomorrow's chaos, actually. Mom said we're expecting some 30 to 35 visitors. I just hope they won't come all together in one time because we don't have maid tomorrow. We told her take the day off as well as on New Year's Day (we're mabait like that lol).

Anyway, I can feel sleep coming. I just wrap this up.

Again, Merry Christmas, everyone!

P.S.
The men are currently singing Katy Perry's Firework. Haha! Makes me wonder, are they one of us?
